Choctaw writer Kara Hodo of Lane, Oklahoma, has released her debut novel, “The Eschaton Diaries: Her Secrets Could Destroy Everything.”
The independently published young adult science fiction novel is an epistolary novel told through a series of diary entries.
The story follows 13-year-old MZ Starr, who lives a sheltered life on the peaceful planet of Elara. When an influential interplanetary government threatens her world, MZ is drawn into a journey filled with advanced technology, betrayal, courage and redemption as she confronts secrets that could change everything.
Hodo has been writing since childhood and has completed several novels, as well as short stories, novellas, poems, essays and flash fiction. Her work spans multiple genres, including horror, fantasy, mystery, thriller and Christian speculative fiction. She has also been published in student journals at two universities.
