Joseph Cannon, 22, of Modesto, California, has completed academy training for California Firefighter 1 and the tasks and testing for Firefighter 2 certification at Monterey Peninsula College.
He will work in the San Francisco Bay Area as a firefighter. Cannon’s great-great-great-grandfather served as an interpreter for missionaries to the Choctaw Nation in the late 1800s.
