Gracie Rose Bryant, a proud young Choctaw, recently celebrated an achievement by helping lead the Plainview Lady Indians to the 2026 Oklahoma Class 4A Girls State Golf Championship on May 4-5 at Dornick Hills Golf & Country Club. The Lady Indians captured the state title in dominant fashion, finishing 46 strokes ahead of second-place Metro Christian. Bryant played a key role in the championship run, finishing 12th overall in the two-day tournament and helping secure the school’s sixth girls golf state championship in program history.
A junior at Plainview High School, Bryant has already established herself as one of Oklahoma’s outstanding young athletes. In addition to her success on the golf course, she also qualified for the 2026 Oklahoma Class 4A state track and field meet in the 4×400, 4×200 and 4×100 relays. Her relay teams placed fourth in the 4×400, seventh in the 4×100 and eighth in the 4×200.
Bryant’s dedication, discipline, and hard work have helped her become a state champion golfer, and her determination is evident every time she steps onto the course. Beyond athletics, she is known as an outstanding Christian young woman who gives God the glory and strives to put Him first in everything she does. As Bryant looks ahead to her senior season and another opportunity to compete for a state championship in 2027, she reminds herself: “With GOD all things are possible.” She is pictured with her father, TC Bryant.
