Ralph Richard Knox age 86 passed away peacefully at his home on January 23, 2025. He was born on January 28th, 1938 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Sina (Homma) and George Booker Knox. Richard grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Daniel Webster High School. After graduation, he went on to graduate from Tulsa Welding School. He was also an accomplished carpenter and rock mason. Constructing a beautiful rock fence around his 1/4 acre lot in Talihina, his neighbors often commented on his beautiful work. He had a passion for fishing, basketball, and football. Richard retired from welding in Dallas, TX in 1998 and moved to Talihina to retire because he loved the small town and the beautiful mountains and trees. Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Richard is survived by children, George Richard Knox of the home. and Catherine Knox Nyman and husband Stephen of Talihina; one sister, Neoma Brown of Enid, OK; as well as many extended relatives and friends.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, George and Sina Knox; daughter, Peggy Lee Cox.
