
Nancy Lee (Collins) Stell, 81, was born on November 17, 1944, in Hugo, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ray Collins and Lois (Corn) Wilkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, J.C. Wilkins; husband, Johnny B. Stell; brother, Hal Collins and sister, Raynell France.
Nancy was a lifelong resident of Choctaw County and grew up in the Grant, Hugo and Shoals communities. She worked in retail as a manager for most of her life. Nancy married her beloved husband, Johnny B. Stell, on February 9, 1963, at the First Baptist Church in Paris, Texas. She enjoyed cooking, baking and cake decorating and loved being outdoors where she found so much peace and happiness. She also enjoyed bird watching, gardening, fishing and mowing and she took pride in caring for her surroundings. She also loved raising cattle, roosters and chickens. Nancy’s family was most important to her, and she treasured the bonds she shared with those closest to her. Her family and friends will hold her memory close, grateful for the time they shared and the many ways she touched their lives.
Nancy is survived by her son, Kevin Stell of Fort Worth, TX; daughter, Gwendolyn Dawn Stell of Fort Worth, TX; grandchildren Stacy Simmons, Jonathan Stell, Jessica Stell and Justin Stell; great grandchildren, Abigail Stell, Hailey Howery, Alice Peterson and Isaac Simmons along with many other family members, friends and loved ones.
