Janie Pollard

Janie Elizabeth Wynn Pollard, of O’Brien, Florida passed away at the age of 69 on Sunday, April 26th in Soper, Oklahoma surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.

Janie was born on August 25, 1956, in Honolulu, Hawaii to her loving parents, Robert Wynn Jr and Mary (Shelton) Wynn.  She later married Dave Pollard in San Antonio, Texas and together they made their home in Pinellas Park, Florida before eventually retiring to their home in O’Brien.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church O’Brien where she was always greeted by her friends with “Here comes Sunshine”.  She loved life, always had a smile on her face and deeply loved the Lord.  Throughout their lives Janie and Dave traveled extensively to Germany, Japan, Africa, Europe, Canada and all over the US.  She loved animals, especially horses, and found great joy in baking and beautifully decorating cakes for her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Mary of Soper, Oklahoma; her son Frank “Junior” Wynn of Seattle, Washington, and her daughter Rebekah Lynn Wisener of O’Brien, Florida.  She is also survived by her brother Robert Wynn and wife Nelda of Corsicana, Texas; her sister Patty Hatch and husband Gary of Kerrville, Texas; and her brother Ricky Wynn and wife Mary of Gunter, Texas. Janie leaves behind six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, as well as a niece, five nephews, and a large circle of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert, her husband Dave, her son Timothy and all her grandparents.

The family wishes to especially express their heartfelt gratitude to the Lady J’s of O’Brien – Judy, Jane and Janice – for all their love and support to Janie, Junior and Rebekah.  The Lady J’s are indeed God’s angels on earth.
