
Billie Faye Lewis, 91, of McAlester, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 23, 2026.
Billie was born on July 15, 1934, in McAlester, Oklahoma, to Cecil Compelube and Ruby (Royston) Compelube. She dedicated many years of service as a teacher’s aide with the Choctaw Nation Head Start Program, where she touched the lives of countless children and families.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter, Donetta Lewis; daughter-in-law Kim Lewis; grandchildren: Katie Clement and husband Brandon, and Rachel Lundy and husband Alex; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Sharon Walters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Billie was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Ruby Compelube; her son, Norvel J. Lewis, Jr.; her grandson, Robert F. Long, Jr.; her brother, Jimmy Compelube; and her sisters, Tina Weeks and Corina Compelube.
Billie will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to family, and the quiet strength of her faith. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
