District 6 Princesses
Councilwoman Woods poses with District 6 princesses, Junior Miss Hatapushik Ramsey and Little Miss Kitsey Bigpond. The two were crowned April 18 at the District 6 pageant and will compete for the 2026-27 Little Miss and Junior Miss Choctaw Nation titles at the Choctaw Labor Day Festival Princess Pageant at 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at the amphitheater.
Chahtapreneur Awards
Leaders of the Choctaw Nation attended the 2026 Chahtapreneur Awards Dinner on June 26. Small Town Talk LLC, owned by Charisse Gragg, was named District 6 Business of the Year.
Chahta Foundation Award
Jayla King, shown with District 6 Councilwoman Jennifer Woods, received the Chahta Foundation Award on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. She was one of six award recipients.
World Series of Stickball
Councilwomen Regina Mabray of District 12, Jennifer Woods of District 6 and Jennifer Turner of District 5 attended the 2026 World Series of Stickball in July in Mississippi. In this photo, they give a thumbs up with Oklahoma stickball player Jana Boykin. The Oklahoma teams represented the Choctaw Nation well in the tournament.
Fourth of July
Councilwoman Jennifer Woods and other District 6 tribal members show their patriotic spirit during the Red Oak Parade on July 5. The parade was one of several events celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
