Randie Ary Graves, age 74, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, laughter, and an adventurous spirit. Born on January 20, 1952, Randie was a woman who truly never met a stranger, making friends wherever her journey took her.
A Life of Love and Adventure
At the heart of Randie’s life was her devoted husband and soulmate, Kevin who she married on 08/08/1988 at 8:00pm. Together, they shared a bond built on deep affection and a mutual love for exploration. Their journey together took them on trips near and far, including a 3 year assignment in London, England where Randie spent most of her days exploring every aspect of London history and would become the best “tour guide” one could ask for when family came to visit. Besides traveling to many places in Europe by air and train, Randie loved a good ocean cruise to places like Hawaii, Alaska, Bahamas, Caribbean, Latin America, Nova Scotia and Europe.
Some of their favorite escapes were often found along the Gulf Coast, where they spent countless hours enjoying the pristine white sands of Florida. These trips were defined by long walks on the beach and their shared quest for the perfect plate of fresh, local seafood. These trips often included kids and grandkids who they enjoyed every opportunity to share their sense of adventure with.
A Passion for the Game
Randie was a vibrant presence in any crowd, particularly when sports were involved. Her enthusiasm for the game was infectious, whether she was cheering from the sidelines of a soccer match or following the seasons of football, baseball, soccer and swimming. Her competitive spirit was matched only by her social nature; she had a rare gift for turning a seat in the stands into a gathering of lifelong friends. She loved sporting events both big and small, with venues like World Cup in France, Formula 1 racing in several countries, Nascar events, NFL and NCAA football in various stadiums and bowl games, Premier League FA Cup final in Wembley Stadium and Wimbledon Championship tennis finals.
But her real joy was following kids and grandkids in every travel sport imaginable. Trips with soccer, baseball, football and swimming became family vacations. From Colorado to Arizona to Washington DC and Orlando Fl, she covered many miles by planes, trains and automobiles to enjoy watching the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that God blessed her with. She left no doubt about her favorite team of all, the Metro Christian Patriots who would claim her as the #1 Grandma Fan. Friday night lights would find her in the north endzone filming football highlights under the goal post and sending those plays from her iPhone to anxious moms waiting in the stands.
Working Years
Her early working days included Ross Drug (Broken Arrow) where she came to know many Broken Arrow residents. Randie began her 40-year career working within the automotive filtration industry (Fram, Facet, Purolator) and ended her working career retiring from US Postal Service. Randie was able to work on many unique projects including government contracts for filtration needs of the Patriot Missile air defense system. In 1991, she was a recognized guest of Ohio Congressman Bill Gradison of the 102nd Congressional Ways & Means Committee.
Love of Christ and Service
Following Jesus Christ in baptism, she was a member of First Baptist Churches in Chelsea, …, and Broken Arrow before moving her membership to Battle Creek Church. She served various roles in both FBCBA and Battle Creek including nursery, toddler, preschool, grade school and even special needs teaching the next generations about the love of Jesus. Her service also included supporting the church’s financial accounting related to attendance and offering which she was able to do alongside her mother Faye Ary.
