Edde Ferguson

Eddie Ferguson, 88, of Lockhart, Texas passed away on December 18, 2025, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lockhart Texas. Born on August 26, 1937, in Oklahoma City Oklahoma, he was a devoted husband to Diana Deithloff Ferguson who preceded him in death on April 13th, 2020, and loving father to Tina Knudsen and Paul Ferguson. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Joe Edgar and Leottie Ferguson, as well as two brothers, Alvin and Kenneth.

He proudly served from 1956 to 1960 in the U.S. Army during a cold war period serving stateside as well as in Italy and Germany. One of his specialties while serving was to be involved in early drone technology and evolution. It was an experience that he often fondly reminisced about with family.

Dad was hard-working and dedicated. He spent many years working in the heating and air conditioning trade, where he was known for his expertise in the trade. He shared those skills by teaching high school students later in his career. Despite his many responsibilities, he always made time for his family and his passions. His passions included old cars and antique engines. He was very instrumental in starting the documentation of our family’s ancestry, including the family blood tie to the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.

Though Dad may not have liked being the center of attention, he deserves to have his long years of fatherly love honored. He was a man of integrity, kindness, generosity, and he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He volunteered and contributed to women’s shelters, a passion of both his and Diana’s.

He is survived by his daughter Tina Knudsen and husband Chris, their children, Amanda Postrigan and her husband Andrey, Michelle Stephenson and her husband Patrick, Christina Cavness and her husband CJ; his son Paul Ferguson and his wife Lori, their children Zane and Nathan and wife Mariah. Six great-grandchildren, Carson, Abigail, Kimber, Connor, Parker and Blake as well as Luke who is on the way in January. He is survived as well by many friends and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
