
Stevie Tanner of Dardenelle, Arkansas, was honored at halftime of the Dardanelle vs Ozark basketball game for scoring over 1,000 points in her career as a Sand Lizard.
According to a Dardenelle High School social media post, the junior exemplifies what it means to be a Sand Lizard on and off the court. Tanner broke the 1,000-point mark on Dec. 26 against Gravette.
She ended the season with 1,477 points. Tanner made All-State for the second year in a row and was nominated as 4A player of the year.
She excels not only on the basketball court but also in the classroom, with a 4.0 GPA.
