William Keith Amos Simpson

William Keith Amos Simpson, lovingly known as Bolo, age 63, of Golden, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at his home in Golden, Oklahoma. He was born on Wednesday, January 16, 1963, to Mary Jane Lee in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Bolo was a proud graduate of Eagletown High School and a man known for his strong work ethic and deep love for his family. For 23 years, he worked as a rock hauler, never shying away from hard work and always striving to provide a better life for those he loved. His dedication and determination were evident in everything he did, and his family knew they could always count on him.

Outside of work, Bolo found his greatest joy in spending time with family. He loved hosting family cookouts, hanging out at the lake, camping, swimming, playing pool, and relaxing while watching his favorite television shows. A loyal OU Sooners fan, he especially enjoyed cheering on his beloved team during football season. Above all else, Bolo treasured the time he spent with his family, and nothing meant more to him than his grandchildren, who brought him endless pride and happiness. His love, laughter, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bolo is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lee; one brother, Melton Simpson; his uncles and aunts, William Nelson and Bill Nelson, Rachel Day and Lula Pete; mother-in-law, Mary Carterby; brothers-in-law, John Ray Carterby and Adam Carterby and his precious granddaughter, Bristina Colbert.

Bolo is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Melinda Simpson of Golden, Oklahoma; three sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Ashley Simpson of Oak Hill, Oklahoma, Bud and Shannel Simpson of Golden, Oklahoma and Billy Simpson of Golden, Oklahoma; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Bruce Noah of Wright City, Oklahoma and LaDonna and Daniel Battiest of Wright City, Oklahoma; fifteen grandchildren; Cheyenne Simpson and Andrew and great grandbaby, Boo Boo, Alexia, Charlie Jr., Bentley, Gavin, Mason, David, Adam, Kenan, Paizley, Nevaeh, Brayson, Harrison, Kadence, and Cavan; his sisters-in-law, Bertha Going and Martha Carterby; nephews, Cris Carterby, Isaac Going, John Going, Kevin Carterby and other nieces and nephews; his best friends, Roger Wesley, Wes Tisho, Alfred Crosby and Bobby Drinnon, and a host of other relatives and friends.
