
Tully Samson Choate peacefully went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at the age of 90. He was at home in his favorite chair. Tully was born on June 10, 1934, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Albert Samson Choate and Helen Lorene James. He married Lucina Hill on April 24, 1970, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Member of Choctaw nation & is very proud of his heritage. He made his own outfits for dancing at Pow Wows. Was an excellent beader. He beaded everything from canes, belts, dance clothes and jewelry. He organized the color guard of Broken Arrow. They danced in the colors at Pow Wows.
He was predeceased by his parents; siblings Anna Jo Bridges and Tonnie Carolyn Pahsetopah (wife of artist Loren Pahsetopah).
Survived by his wife and soulmate of 55 years, Lucina Choate; nephew, Terry Ray Bridges; brother-in-law, Jim Hill (and wife Margaret).
Tully was a likable guy. He loved people. It didn’t matter if he knew you. He would soon get to know you. He was quite a talker and storyteller. We will all miss him.
Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Floral Haven Funeral Home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
