Nellie Hunter

Nellie Faye Miller Hunter passed away peacefully in her home on May 16, 2025, in Tupelo, Okla.

She was born on Feb. 12, 1939, in Clayton, Okla., to the late Jack Fulton and Catherine Gardner.

Nellie was a member of the Centrahoma Baptist Church. Her favorite thing in the world was spending time with her family and loving on her children, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Harkins of Tupelo, children Joe Stein and wife Renee of Oklahoma City, Dennis Stein of Stillwater, David Stein and wife Lisa of Roff, Bill Stein and wife Stacy of Tupelo, Ollie Maple of Tupelo, Darvin Gore and wife Denay of Milton, Fla., and David Hunter of Coalgate, grandchildren, and great-grandbabies.

Nellie is preceded in death by her parents Jack Fulton and Catherine Gardner, sister Ruby Kerr, brothers Joe Miller, Jack Miller, Pete Miller, Elmer Miller, Jimmy Miller, Henry Miller, and Cecil Miller, daughter Mary Smith, and grandson Dustin Stein.

The celebration of life service was held on Saturday, May 24 in the Tupelo High School Gymnasium.

Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Brown’s Funera Service-Coalgate.
