Millie (Winningham) Nichols, 96, of Krebs, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025, in Krebs.
Millie was one of eight children born to Charles Lee “Charlie” and Adeline (McClellan) Winningham on October 23, 1928, in McAlester. She graduated from high school and went on to work as a seamstress for Henson Kickerneck. Millie was also a devoted homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, painting, and growing flowers. She especially loved playing dominoes with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie and Adeline Winningham; brothers, Calvin Lonnie Winningham and Robert Lee Winningham; and sisters, Muril C. Hodges, Edith Lillian “O’Dell” Carney, Tina Lee Stacey, Jo Ethel Stacey, and Gladys Contratto.
Millie is survived by her son, Curtis Nichols; grandchildren, Rebecca Nichols and husband, Kieth, Charles Winningham and fiancée, Leona, and Brian Pullum-Calvert and husband, Benjamin; nieces, Betty Ross and husband, Mike and Tonya Carney; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
