
Mark Pond, age 66, of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, died Monday, August 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, April 24, 1959, to James and Mary Laverne White Pond in Foreman, Arkansas.
Mark was a devoted family man who loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. A hardworking and dependable soul, he dedicated 35 years to Tyson as a skilled forklift driver. Mark enjoyed the simple pleasures in life—watching classic Westerns, old-school wrestling, and listening to the timeless sounds of classic country music. He found peace in the outdoors, especially when deer hunting or casting a line at his favorite fishing spots. He also enjoyed the thrill of a trip to the casino. Mark’s steady presence, warm heart, and love for his family will always be remembered.
Mark is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Christina “Tina” Willis; four brothers, J.W. Pond, Earl Pond Jamie Pond and Walter Pond; three sisters, Mary Hoover, Sissie Lovewell and Tincy Lovewell; two sisters in law, Rozella Wesley and Lola Wesley and two nephews, Jade Wesley and Albert “Pee Wee” Lovewell Jr.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of Gwen Pond of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two sons, Mark “Bubba” Wesley of Broken Bow, Oklahoma and William “J.P.” Pond of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; his brother, Robert Pond of Tom, Oklahoma; his sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Jerry Braddock of Cookville, Texas; four grandchildren, Alyssa Willis of Antlers, Oklahoma, Ashton Willis of Durant, Oklahoma, Akeiley Willis and Ashur Willis both of Wright City, Oklahoma; one great grandchild, Lillian Willis of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; sisters-in-law, Wilma Wesley and Joy Resendiz both of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; special nieces and nephews, Megan Noah, Kim Tims, Samantha Tims, Tina Thompson, Alicia Schee, Donnie Lovewell, Kris Tisho, Cody Noah and Bobby Hoover; several other nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
