Kevin Renee Scott

Kevin Renee Scott, age 68, of Smithville, Oklahoma, died, Tuesday, August 12, 2024, at his home. He was born on Tuesday, December 4, 1956, to Charles Eugene and Magdalene Scott in Talihina, Oklahoma.

Kevin was a devoted family man who held a special love and respect for his mother, Magdalene. He found peace and joy in the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature’s quiet beauty. A lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, he carried his passion for the wild throughout his life.

For over 30 years, Kevin worked as an electrician, dedicating much of his career to Brown & Root Industrial Services, where his skill and work ethic earned the respect of his colleagues. Proud of his Choctaw heritage, Kevin expressed his culture and creativity through Indian arts and crafts, making hundreds of dreamcatchers that reflected both his talent and his heart.

Kevin will be remembered for his love of family, his pride in his heritage, and the way he poured his time, skill, and spirit into everything he did.

Kevin is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Madonna Tadlock; three uncles, E.B. Hudson, Von Hudson and Thurman Hudson and three aunts, Corrine Hudson, Lita Baxter and Kathleen Hudson.

Kevin is survived by his four uncles, Dean Hudson of Ignacio, Colorado, Cordell Hudson of Fredrick, Oklahoma, Greg Hudson of Savanah, Oklahoma and R.E. Hudson of Smithville, Oklahoma; two aunts, Verdella Hudson of Rogers, Arkansas and Loretta Richardson of Wickes, Arkansas; two nieces, Stella Bagley of Grannis, Arkansas and Brandon Tadlock of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; two great nieces; and a host of other relatives and friends.
