John Merle Jones was born July 14, 1954, in Talihina, Oklahoma to John Warren and Annie Lou (Tatum) Jones. He passed away on January 26, 2026, in Stigler, Oklahoma at the age of 71.

John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Annie Jones.
John enjoyed going to “Deer Camp” with his friends. He was an avid fisherman. He loved spending time at the golf course and visiting with the guys.
John worked at KiBois Community Action Foundation for over 40 years and served on the KiBois Board of Directors for several years. He served on the Choctaw Housing Board and the IRB Choctaw Hospital Board. He was active in the community and served as Director on the 202 Projects Board and the Oak Creek Board.
