Jo Ellen Ward, age 82, a resident of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed from this life Saturday, January 17, 2026 at home in Broken Arrow. She was born July 22, 1943 to John Lewis Wood and Priscilla (Taylor) Wood in Keota, Oklahoma.
Jo Ellen loved her family more than anything in this world. She rarely spoke of her own wants and desires but instead spoke of her hopes that those she loved would have a happy life.
Jo Ellen had three sons: Greg Ward and wife Lori, Eric Ward and wife Sun and Sean Ward and wife Kathy; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; sisters: Jackie Nicolas and Carol Holden and husband Steve; brothers: David Wood and wife Doresa, and Tommy Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents: John Wood and Priscilla Taylor Wood; brothers: Edward Wood and wife Barbara Wood, and Philip Wood; and brother-in-law: Carl Nicolas.
