Jeanne Margaret Allen, 67, of Sand Springs, Oklahoma passed away on May 21, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jeanne was born on October 25, 1957, to John E. Allen and Margaret E. (Maxwell) Allen in McAlester, Oklahoma. She was a proud graduate of McAlester High School, class of 1975, where she first discovered her passion for the sciences. Jeanne’s pursuit of knowledge led her to the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in science and geology. Her education became the cornerstone of a fulfilling career in the oil and gas industry, where she dedicated many years of service as a geologist and later as a title research assistant at the Tulsa County Assessor Office. Jeanne’s professional accomplishments were matched by her commitment to her faith and community. A devout member of the Morning Star Church in Mounds, Oklahoma. A true nature enthusiast, Jeanne’s love for the outdoors was ever-present. Jeanne is survived by her brother, John Allen, and his wife, Linda, of McAlester, Oklahoma; her sister, Sue Ann Hannah and her husband, Ricky of Lawton, Oklahoma; her nieces, Amy Allen of Norman, Oklahoma, and Rachel Allen of McAlester, Oklahoma; a friend, Gina Sherwood; along with numerous other family members and friends. Jeanne is preceded in death by her parents, John E. Allen and Margaret E. Allen.
Cremation arrangements were made under the direction of Bishop Funeral Service and Crematory in McAlester. A celebration of life will be at a later date.
