
James A. Blake, 87, of Yukon, Oklahoma, passed away July 13, 2025. He was born August 18, 1937, in Seminole, Oklahoma, to Samuel and Bertha Blake. Jim graduated from Central High School in 1955 and proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he was named Honor Man in his platoon. He later earned a degree in accounting from Oklahoma City University and became a CPA, founding a firm in Yukon that later moved to Oklahoma City with his son Craig.
Jim first married Marlene (Kroutil) in 1958; they had a son, James, before Marlene’s passing in 1960. In 1971, he married Carole (Allison), and together they had a son, Craig, and a daughter, Terri. They had 45 loving years of marriage until Carole’s passing in 2016. In 2018, Jim married his high school sweetheart, Jimmie Inglish-Schick, and for over seven years they shared joyful companionship and weekend drives across Oklahoma.
Affectionately known as Papaw, Jim adored his grandchildren: Britney, Allison, Brice, Sarah, Emma, Molly, Ava, and Bella. He felt welcomed and loved by Jimmie’s children and grandchildren. He was a man of deep faith and love, known for his loyalty and passion for exploring his Native American roots with family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Bertha; his first wife, Marlene; his second wife, Carole; and his granddaughter, Allison.
