Harry Linnell Deupree Jr., age 87 of Mustang, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. He was born in Oklahoma City May 25, 1938, to his beloved parents Dr. Harry and Dorothy Deupree. He is a member of The Choctaw Nation.

Harry grew up in Oklahoma City and graduated from Putnam City HS in 1956 where he was active in sports. He continued his education and received his Bachelor of Arts from Westminster College and later the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking.

Captain Harry Deupree served in the United States Marine Corps in Okinawa, Japan and The Philippines.

Harry began a career in banking at The Federal Reserve Bank and later entered commercial banking with Liberty National Bank, Allied Oklahoma Bank, and Mustang National Bank . He also served on the Board of Directors with other local banks and was recognized by the Oklahoma Bankers Association as a Member of the 50 Year Club.

Harry was an avid runner and multi-sport athlete. He enjoyed riding rough stock, but injuries convinced him to pursue other activities. He found great personal satisfaction from running races, especially those from 50 to 100 miles in length. His Ultrarunning career lasted 40 years, and included The Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon, Western States 100-mile race and 12 Time finisher of Leadville Trail 100-mile race.

Harry was a Director of Sirloin Club of Oklahoma, Trustee of Southwest American Livestock Foundation, Chairman of Agricultural Development Division for OKC Chamber of Commerce, Director Hospital Hospitality House OKC, Director Oklahoma County Unit for The American Cancer Society, Director Westside YMCA, Honoree and Beef Superintendent for Oklahoma State Junior Livestock Show, Honorary State Farmer Future Farmers of America, and Honorary State Farmer 4-H of Oklahoma.

Harry was a member of the Northwest OKC Camp of Gideon’s International and served as Vice President and President for local and state leadership committees. He traveled to Africa, Indonesia and Malaysia to organize and distribute the Holy Bible, and share the Gospel, wherever he went.

Harry was also an avid painter, poet, composer, and Master Gardner.

Harry is proceeded in death by his parents. He survived by his wife, Debbie Wedman Deupree : children and spouses Trey and Cheryl Deupree of McKinney Tx, Chisholm and Terra Deupree of Oklahoma City, Cheyenne Deupree of Edmond, Ok and Cody and Stefanee Deupree of Richlands, North Carolina.

While both went on to remarry, Harry and Patti Deupree Ross remained good friends for the rest of their lives.

Grandchildren Trevor, Mackenzie and Whitney Deupree, Caden Rowe, Kylie Rowe, and Jesse Deupree. Rylan Deupree, Taylor and Greyson Deupree.

Harry is survived by his sister Dina Lynn Deupree, brother Bill and wife Janie Deupree, brother Bob Deupree and brother Dick Deupree, all of Oklahoma City.
