Donald Wayne Findley

A loved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle and mentor, Donald “Donnie” Wayne Findley of Collinsville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at the age of 67 on November 28, 2025 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, surrounded by many loved ones. His courageous battle with cancer was a testament to his strength and resilience.

Donnie was born on March 3, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Story School and Maysville Public Schools in Maysville, Oklahoma, graduated in the class of 1976. Shortly after high school, he met the love of his life, Susan Allen. On December 7, 1979, they began their journey together as husband and wife. Their greatest joys were their two sons, Christopher and Jessie. Together, their path led them from Oklahoma to Lafayette, Louisiana, and Santa Fe, Texas, before they returned home to Oklahoma.

A dedicated family man and proud Sooners fan, Donnie retired from Enterprise Transportation Company with a 33 year career marked by hard work and kindness. To keep active after he retired, he worked at Osage Casino in the convenience store, then worked in surveillance.

He always had a gift for making everyone smile, always ready with a quick joke, and a heart full of love for his family, his country, and his furry babies.

Donnie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan; his son and daughter-in-law, Jessie Charles and Amanda Findley of Collinsville; his son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Wayne and Julie Findley of Bartlesville; his sisters, Cheryl Ann Mainka of Gracemont, Brenda Gower of Norman, and Darlene Findley of Pauls Valley; puppies Bonnie, Ellie, and Maggie; 3 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephew, cousins, and Aunts Marty Findley and Rita Findley of Hinton.

Donnie is preceded in death by his mother and Father, Dixie Findley and Franklin Wayne Findley, his brother Donald Franklin Findley, many relatives and friends, puppies Cindy Lou and Larry.

Through every chapter of his life, Donnie’s family remained his anchor, just as he was theirs. He leaves behind countless memories and many quiet moments of love that will be cherished.
