Cody Molzahn

Cody Reed Molzahn, 39 years of age, of Durant, Oklahoma, formerly of the Alma and Orleans, Nebraska areas, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at his home in Oklahoma. Cody was born in Kearney, Nebraska on May 6, 1986, during a thunderstorm and tornado. He still loved being outside in a good thunderstorm. Cody was the only child born to Leschia & Neil and also the only Choctaw grandson born with dark curly hair and beautiful brown eyes just like his mom & dad.

Cody was raised in Alma, growing up on a farm, where he spent a lot of childhood riding around in the pickup standing next to his Papaw. Cody attended all his school years in Alma, where he played football, basketball, wrestled, and his favorite sport was being on the Alma golf team. He attended college in Lincoln. Cody eventually returned to Alma to be with his family.

Cody enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything outdoors. His favorite pastime was playing disc golf with his dad and corn hole with his parents.

Cody loved his little Fluffy Missy. She followed him everywhere he went. When he sat down, she jumped in his lap. Cody would smile and say, “There’s my girl.”In 2024, Cody moved from Alma to Oklahoma with his parents to be more active in the Choctaw tribe’s traditions and learn more about his Native heritage. Cody was given his Native American name (Iron Eyes) by his Papaw. He was very proud of being Choctaw! As a tribute, he had the Great Seal of the Choctaws tattooed across his shoulders.

Cody’s spirit will carry on with us all forever. Cody will be missed.
