Clayton Wilson Anna, age 64, of Idabel, Oklahoma, died, Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Memorial Heights Nursing Center in Idabel, Oklahoma. Clayton was born on Tuesday, June 27, 1961, to Solomon Anna Sr. and Sarah Jane Lewis in Talihina, Oklahoma.
Clayton was a strong, humble, and faithful man who dedicated his life to serving the Lord and loving his family. A true man of God, Clayton spent 47 years in ministry, preaching the gospel with conviction, compassion, and unwavering faith.
In 1994, he founded El Bethel Baptist Church in Broken Bow, Oklahoma, where he poured his heart into building a place of worship and hope for his community. He also faithfully served at Nayimmi Baptist Church for over 10 years and was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church in Wright City. Through every sermon, every prayer, and every act of service, Clayton’s heart for the Lord was evident and his ministry left a lasting legacy in the lives of so many.
Clayton deeply loved his family. They were his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them. Whether gathered for a meal, sharing stories, or simply enjoying each other’s company, his love for them was always front and center.
In addition to his ministry, Clayton worked hard to support his family. He spent many years at Tyson Foods Hatchery and later at the Garvin Choctaw Travel Plaza, where he was known for his dependability, kindness, and strong work ethic.
Clayton loved the outdoors and found peace walking the creeks and streams, fishing or sitting quietly in the woods during deer season. He had a deep appreciation for nature and the simple joys it brought. He also enjoyed listening to oldies music and singing traditional Choctaw hymns, often lifting his voice in praise with a heart full of gratitude.
Clayton was a devoted father, grandfather, pastor, and friend—a man whose life reflected the love of Christ in word and deed. He will be remembered for his faith, strength, and the steady love he gave so freely. Though he will be greatly missed, his legacy of service, faith, and family will continue to inspire all who knew him.
Clayton is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Justin Miko Anna and Roman Gabriel Anna; one brother, Kenneth Loma; one sister, Resa Alderete and pastor and mentor, Luther Battiest.
Clayton is survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Marinda and Damon Taylor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; ShyAnn Anna of Idabel, Oklahoma; five brothers, and sisters-in-law, Edward Loma of Smithville, Oklahoma, Wayne and Faye Anna of Wright City, Oklahoma, Solomon Jr. and Jackie Anna of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Bill Anna of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, and Jessie Anna of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Quannie Austin of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Oleda Duckett of Broken Bow, Oklahoma; Benita and Juan Torres of Albion, Oklahoma, Sharitha and Esteban Borjas of New Boston, Texas and Benito Alderete; seven grandchildren, J.C. Anna, Aadin Taylor, Mikaela Willis, Chana Anna, Gage Taylor, Wendy Stafford and Chase Taylor; three great grandchildren, Lea Stafford, Lauren Stafford and Penelope Taylor; his former wife, Rita Anna of Wright City, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
