Alfred Watson Davis Nakishi Jr.

Alfred Watson Davis Nakishi Jr. went home to be united with his Creator April 3, 2025 at OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born to his wonderful parents, the late A.W. Davis Nakishi Sr. and Katherine Ruth Johnson Nakishi.

We called him “Boy.” Others called him “Big Boy” because of his height of 6’3”. He played basketball for Wright City Lumberjax. His wife called him “Watson”. If you know him and his father and nephew Steve they love to hunt, go fishing and night fishing with his niece Kay.

When he had to go off to Oklahoma City for treatment Kathy Anne and Nicole Tyne would check on him at the hospital since he would be far from his family. His daughters were dedicated to their father getting him to and from doctor’s appointments. When he was diagnosed with cancer, they traveled many miles with his daughters to and from hospitals in Oklahoma City.

His daughters were his happiness. While away he would tell his girls to take care of the home and mom. (Bessie). He called her Bess. He loved to listen to music, had a large collection. He was an artist, he painted and made pottery. Him and his side kick & cousin, Gerald Osborne Davis worked together making signs & designed T shirts using silk screening for different companies and traveling near and far. He dedicated his life to caring for his parents when they became homebound. He met his wife, Bessie Jean (Taylor) Nakishi and had two girls, Tiffany Renee and Jennnifer Rose Nakishi. They were his princesses always by his side and will continue to take care of their mother like he asked of them.

Boy as his nieces and cousins called him, Alfred his former associates from Wal-Mart called him and Watson as Bess called him was preceded in death by his loving parents, A.W. Davis Nakishi, Sr. And Katherine Ruth Johnson Nakishi; his brother, Freeman Ray Jessie and sister, Nancy Lee (Jessie) Taylor; niece, Carmen Marie Taylor and great-nephew, Caleb Taylor; cousins, Lola Wesley, Rozella Wesley, Tina Willis.
