Terrie Sue Allen

Terrie Sue Allen was born July 17, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to O.C. (Jack) Allen Jr. and Syble Sue Allen, and passed away on January 3, 2025. She lived her early life in Blanchard until her primary school years moving to Norman, Oklahoma. As a teenager she volunteered as a Candy Striper at Norman Regional Hospital. She was a 1970 graduate of Norman High School.  She met Fred Parham of Ada, Oklahoma summer of 1969 at the OU Welcome Week.  They married at McFarlin Methodist Church in August 1970. Together they had two children, Mia and Marc.

In her 20’s she enjoyed modeling, and motherhood while Fred attended Medical School.  In addition to Norman, they lived in Oklahoma City, California, and Ohio.  Their marriage ended in 1980.  She returned to Oklahoma and worked in Oklahoma City in various sales positions.  She met John Hilker in 1981 at a restaurant while she was there during a business meeting working for a Global Marketing company selling skin care products. She also worked at a Bridal Shop in OKC. She married John in 1983 and later they moved back to Norman.  She returned to school in 1990 to study Fine Arts at the University of Oklahoma obtaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, graduating with honors and distinction in December 1996 and walked to receive her diploma in May. She and John separated during the summer of 1996 and their marriage ended soon afterwords.  

She was a member of the Choctaw Nation and proud of her Cherokee, Chickasaw, and Choctaw heritage. She even took Choctaw language in college. Soon after graduation she worked for Dillard’s in Norman, and then in Shawnee.  She decided to get her license as an aesthetician and after working for a Medical Spa opened her own practice in Norman.  After closing her practice, she worked at New Image Skincare and worked there until 2018 retiring at the age of 66.  She met David Stewart of Norman at a popular dance club in Oklahoma City in 2004.  They remained live-in boyfriend and girlfriend from 2005 for the remainder of her days.

She enjoyed various forms of art including oil and acrylic painting, as well as sculpture.  She loved to cook and was good at it.  She also loved to sew, making many costumes for her children.  She sang off key but could dance and do the two-step.  She loved the color purple, and her favorite flowers were tulips. She loved watching Christmas Hallmark movies in July, and enjoyed action movies, and a Western or two.  She loved her children, and especially her grandchildren with all her heart.  

She was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Syble Allen of Norman. 

She is survived by her daughter, Mia Parham (David) of Cross Roads, Texas, her son, Marc Parham (Reneé) of Vacaville, California, her grandchildren, Morgan Parham (Josh) of Springfield, Illinois, Shelby Parham of Austin, Texas, and Jack Garcia of Cross Roads, Texas.

She also leaves behind her long-time boyfriend David Stewart, as well as his family, son Kirby Stewart of Norman and his children Levi and Sarah Stewart of Edmond…and not to be forgotten a beloved dog, Ollie.  She will be forever missed and live on in the hearts of family and friends.
