Leo D. “Don” Crane, 80, of Hampton, IL, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at University of Iowa Hospital.
Leo was born February 11, 1942, in Centrahoma, OK, the son of Emma (Boddy) Rude and Leo V. Crane.
Leo married Linda Louise Guthrie. He then married Kathy Hoskins in 1977.
Leo worked for John Deere Harvester, East Moline as a Journeyman Electrician. After retirement he enjoyed watching his grandchildren play softball.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy; children; Cammie Soriano, Oklahoma City, OK, Rory Crane, Phoeniz, AZ, Ragina “Gina” Shaw, Silver City, NM, Amanda Merkel, Bettendorf, and Michael Crane, Des Moines; 16 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Zedna Faye “Sally” Grubbs, Coolidge, AZ; special friend, Greg Wynn, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tammie Hinton; parents, Emma and Leo; sister, Barbara Shearman; Paula Zeek; sister in law, Jean Beard; brothers in law, John Grubbs, Jon Hoskins, and Jeff Hast.
