Betty Lou Taylor

Betty Lou Taylor, age 61, of Angleton, Texas, passed away peacefully, on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Galveston Texas. She was born on Tuesday, May 21, 1963, to Edgar and Hazel Billy Taylor in Antlers, Oklahoma.

Betty was a vibrant and social soul who lived life to the fullest, always bringing joy and laughter to those around her. A devoted homemaker, she centered her life around her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest treasures. Betty had a deep love for animals of all kinds, especially her pigs, ducks, and chickens, finding pure happiness in caring for them. She cherished the outdoors, where she felt most at peace, and spent countless hours soaking in nature’s beauty. A longtime member of her church in Sobol, Oklahoma, her faith was a guiding light in her life. Whether surrounded by family or friends, Betty was the life of the party, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Linda Taylor Clay.

Betty is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Buddy Taylor and Amanda Sadler of Henderson, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Benita Taylor and Brandon Temple of Lumberton, Texas; two brothers, Hobie Taylor of Sobol, Oklahoma, and Edgar Taylor Jr. of Sobol, Oklahoma; five sisters, Cinderella Deramus of North Pole, Oklahoma, Mary Taylor of Broken Bow, Oklahoma, Lisa Donaldson of Bokchito, Oklahoma, Anita Schroyer of Idabel, Oklahoma, and Rita Austin of Sobol, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Morgan, Madison, Mattox, McKenzie, Mason, Haylyn, and Harper; one great-granddaughter, Madeline; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
